Whatever it is that we’re dreading, rest assured our mind makes it far worse in our imagination than it’s going to be in reality. The trick is mustering up that initial courage to face our fear, to step into the arena that we’ve been running from.
Be it a difficult conversation with a loved one or signing up for that open mic or quitting one’s job, we just need to decide that we won’t run anymore. That one first step – that’s all it takes.
The rest will be a breeze. And in fact we’ll be laughing at how we let this nothing scare us for so long. So let’s just take that step.
